Things to do in San Clemente

Couple of weeks ago, I went to a small beach town in Orange County called San Clemente and went to brunch! As you know, I LOVE brunch so, I had to check this bish out!

As I get more and more used to Orange County, I feel like I start to love it more and more! There are so many nearby beach towns that you can travel to and every little town has its own little personality.

San Clemente is in Southern California (for my non-California readers) and it’s supposed to be in the middle of San Diego and LA. I drove from Laguna Niguel, so for me it’s about 15 minute drive.

I started by going down to the pier and checking out what everyone was up to. It seems like you can go fishing on the pier OR if you are not dressed for that, then you can just enjoy some relaxing time on the pier. It is really breathtaking, so it’s a great place for a date!

You can walk pretty far out and watch surfers on the side trying not get eaten by sharks. Just kidding. But there are great whites out there and the fisherman who were on the other side fishing live to tell the story (seriously).

So here where I went and my reviews on each place:

Fisherman’s Restaurant: If you go on the weekend, there will be a wait so you should go early if you can and be prepared to walk around for about 20-30 minutes. I think some foods are good but I would recommend the poke.

San Clemente Art Fair:This was a fun surprise. We parked up on the hill where the Fair was and then we went down to the pier. It is about a 10 minute walk (and longer uphill, obvi). But they have all different types of people showcasing their product from farmers in California to photographers and handmade dog clothing (it’s like an Etsy but older crowd?) Anyway, there are super cute things there, so if you are in town you should go check it out!

Surf’s Up Frozen Yogurt and Ice Cream: I really liked it for the convenience. It’s literally right across the street from the pier and you can’t really miss it. If you don’t want to walk, you can just go across the street after your brunch and get a little snack!

The Abode –They are a super cute antique store on the top of the hill. From cute hand mirrors, bathroom essentials, outdoor furnishings, like you can find EVERYTHING. It’s a never ending neverland of goodies!

If you keep walking, you can always go down the strip and shop your boutiques! Hope you find this guide helpful! If you want to shop my shoes, you can get them at clementines.com for 15% off with code SALTY – click here to shop!

Stay Salty,
