Welcome back to another iteration of skincare. Today we’re going to talk about eye creams that that erase those wrinkles (obviously not over night, but using these will definitely decrease them).
Welcome back to Salty Blog’s skincare series brought to you by Melissa 😂(aka: #moonlitmelissa ) I’ve noticed the older I’ve gotten, eye creams are definitely something that I’ve started to become more educated on and invested in. I’ll admit, I was definitely focused on facial cleansers, masks, creams, serums, etc. (read past blogs on some of these). But the skin around your eye area is VERY delicate and as you get older, we lose collagen in that area. It’s an area that definitely shouldn’t be overlooked.
I started realizing that in my photos the lines around my eyes were a little more prominent than I had realized. Honestly, I’m not too mad about it since it means I’m laughing and enjoying life, but it doesn’t hurt to be somewhat preventative.
So below are a variety of eye creams that I have tried and recommend. They’re pretty diverse so definitely try some out and see what works for you!
How to Apply Eye Cream
When applying eye cream, I dab a little on one ring finger, pat the other ring finger and that lightly tap around my eye area. If there’s any product leftover, I apply it to top of my nose bridge/middle of my eyebrow area (I have this baby wrinkles from scrunching my face when I laugh) and around my mouth for smile lines. Your ring finger is your weakest finger so it’s perfect for applying product to such a delicate area. NEVER PULL DOWN on your skin! Ok? Tight.
Here are eye creams that erase those wrinkles:

🌙Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream ($22.09)
If you have sensitive skin:
Cinique is definitely one of those tried and true brands. Do you remember when those three step processes were super popular? I know they’ve diversified their formulas to target a variety of concerns and they’re definitely a budget friendly brand as well. They are also good for those beauties that have sensitive skin. The great thing about the packaging of this eye cream is that it’s got a ball like applicator to help with soothing the eye area and helping with puffiness. This product helps brighten and hydrate they eye are and features a blend of peptides that help with puffiness and dark circles. My makeup sits well on top of it without being caked and knowing that it has collagen reserves makes me feel like it’s getting the love that it deserves.
🌙Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado ($34)
If you have dry skin:
Avocado has so many health benefits and it DEFINITELY translates to hair and skincare. It’s made with avocado oil and shea butter which keeps that eye area looking supple and hydrated AF. If your eye area isn’t as dry, I’d recommend using it at night for more of a treatment and then carrying about your normal makeup routine. But for those thirsty AF eye areas, I’d recommend using it during the night AND day. Honestly, if you’re in your early to mid 20s, this might be something to use. It’s budget friendly (the mini one even lasts foreverrrr) and since wrinkles aren’t the primary concern, keeping your eye area hydrated is KEY! Apparently Kyle Jenner is a fan, so this shit must be good.
🌙Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex ($49.98)
So I’ve recommended Estee Lauder before and honestly I feel like they don’t get as much attention as it should. I’ll admit, it’s one of those brands that I’ve associated with my mom growing up, so maybe everyone else feels that way too adult? Either way, this shit IS. LEGIT. It’s got a gel like texture and my skin soaks this shit up. It doesn’t feel heavy and just soaks right in and my eye area isn’t very dry. I mean there’s times it’s like HYDRATE ME BETCH, but for the most part it’s pretty neutral. What’s great about it is that it attacks ALL types of issues. Puffiness, lines, wrinkles, circles, helps with damage UV and pollution. It’s got this exclusive chronoluxcb™ ingredient that helps promote your skins natural repair process and keeps your skin looking snatched for up to 24 hours.
🌙Lancer Skincare Eye Contour Lifting Cream with Diamond Powder ($106)
Diamond powder – like, powder made of diamonds. If that isn’t going to catch your attention, then I don’t know what will. Lancer Skincare is pretty popular in Hollywood and apparently Jennifer Lopez is a BIG fan of this eye cream. J.Lo you guys and she’s fifty – five. zero. I mean, that’s mostly why I tried this stuff out and I love it. It’s pricier than the Estee Lauder but I switch it up here and there depending on my mood. This stuff is a triple-action treatment and hydrator that targets fine lines, wrinkles, dryness and loss of firmness and elasticity. It brightens your area and super hydrates your eye area. I mean the website describes it as a cream that has an emollient blend of time-released hyaluronic acid and shea butter – that sound hydrating AF. It’s definitely pricier but guess what, Sephora carries Lancer Skincare and if you’re a VIB Rouge you can score 20% off this bad boy during their sales!
🌙Chantecaille Nano Gold Regenerizing Eye Serum ($210)
I’m going to try to round out every post with some boujee product. Because I wouldn’t be true to myself if I didn’t have something that’s on here that’s expensive and that I use. I’m not lying when I say that I truly see skincare as an investment. I definitely try to branch out, but I know what works for my skin and I’ve tried things that just work for me. Let me tell you, This. Right. Here. I’m sure you’re thinking umm dafuq? $210?! Uhh what?!?! While I definitely wouldn’t recommend this if you have no issues right now, but if you want something preventative and you’re noticing pesky little lines coming up, this stuff is amazing.
The Chantecaille Nano Gold line is luxurious to begin with. I mean the product has 24K gold and silk in it! The packaging is beautiful and the little ball applicator helps with puffiness and feels amazing first thing in the morning. This serum has everything. It’s got a bionymph peptide stem cell extract that helps with aging and softens the appearance of fine lines and a Matrixyl™ 3000 tripeptide that is a unique blend of peptides that help promote a more toned appearance while helping with the appearance of wrinkles. In addition, it’s got lycoskin which is derived from tomato stem cells and is a strong antioxidant that helps promote luminosity! The great thing is, while it’s got all this good shit, its 97% natural and has a base of pure rosewater. No bad things here! I definitely recommend using this day and night and before you apply an eye cream. Give it a few seconds to soak in and then layer your favorite eye cream.
What eye creams have you used? What are. your favorites? I would love to hear from you!
